Georgetown’s 2026 recruiting class is officially off and running with the newest immortal Hoya, Justin Caldwell.
After opting out of the high school recruiting landscape in 2025 and prioritizing transfers, Ed Cooley and staff kick off their highly anticipated 2026 class with a consensus top-150, four-star PF.
This was a fast-moving recruitment as Caldwell committed a month after taking an unofficial visit to the Hilltop at the end of June. The Hoyas and Cooley, who remains, as we know, Rich as Shit, beat out Mississippi State, Ohio State, South Carolina, and local disgrace, Maryland, for Caldwell.

“I chose Coach Cooley, Coach Battle, and Georgetown because I believe in their vision and trust their ability to develop me both on and off the court.”
“Coach Cooley’s leadership and track record speak for themselves, and Coach Battle has built a strong, honest relationship with me from the start.”
“Georgetown felt like the right fit—a place where I can grow, be challenged, and help bring success to the program.”
“I chose Coach Cooley, Coach Battle, and Georgetown because I believe in their vision and trust their ability to develop me both on and off the court.”
What do we know about Caldwell? Not much! But we’re excited to learn, and you can count us intrigued by Caldwell’s combination of size: 6’9 and ELITE wingspan: 7’1.
On first look, Justin appears to be an athletic big who has some post moves and instincts around the rim, can rebound and handles it well for his size.
Caldwell looks like a classic Cooley big, a solid defender who will play hard and has some skilled upside.
Stay tuned for more news and analysis on Caldwell. For now, congratulations to Justin and welcome to immortality.
