Getting to Know You: Wildcats Edition

- Big Spenders. Kentucky’s ’25-’26 roster reportedly costs $22 million in NIL, likely one of the most expensive in the nation. The price tag brings big expectations along with it, as anything short of a Final Four appearance would be a disappointment.
- Defensive Improvement. KenPom projects Kentucky to have a top 10 offense and defense, an improvement over their 51st ranked defense last season. Incoming transfers Mo Dioubate and Jayden Quaintance are high-end defense players who could boost Kentucky’s defensive floor and ceiling.
- Feeling Good. Kentucky beat #3-ranked Purdue in their first exhibition game 65-78 without two projected starters in Jaland Lowe and Jayden Quaintance. Kentucky’s balanced offensive attack saw 10 out of 11 players score, led by Top 20 Freshman Jasper Johnson, who finished with 15 pts on 3-7 shooting from three.
- Depth and Athleticism. Kentucky features a legit 10-man rotation, despite likely being without Lowe and Quaintance against Georgetown.

Looking forward to a classic match between two great programs.
